Online Master of Science in Nursing Curriculum

Gonzaga offers the Online Master of Science in Nursing degree emphasizing development of Nursing Administrators and Nurse Educators.
  1. Nurse Educator Curriculum - Nurses in this option are prepared to work as educators in academic, hospital, and community-based settings.

  2.  Health Systems Leadership Curriculum - Nurses in this option are prepared to assume administrative positions in inpatient, outpatient, and community-based settings.

Nurse Educator
Students develop an area of clinical specialization as well as vital skills in curriculum development, teaching-learning strategies, and evaluation. Particular emphasis is placed on tailoring content and presentation to the student’s needs. Practicum experiences take place in a variety of educational settings.

The MSN Nurse Educator specialization program requires 36 credit hours of graduate coursework.

Health Systems Leadership
Students gain the knowledge and proficiency necessary to work in financial and human capital management. Students are also exposed to strategies for responding to the clinical, ethical, and legal issues that arise in administrative roles.
