Equally comprehensive to the MSN coursework available through Gonzaga University’s on-campus setting, the online MSN degree program builds upon a tradition of academic excellence. All curriculum offered through Gonzaga’s Department of Nursing is fully accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education.
The Health Systems Leadership specialization requires 36 credits total. Both the on-campus and distance learning form of the program prepare nurses to assume administrative positions in inpatient, outpatient and community-based settings. Students gain knowledge and competency in financial and human capital management, as well as strategies for responding to clinical, ethical, and legal issues encountered in administrative roles.
The Nurse Education specialization requires 36 credits total. Both the on-campus and distance learning form of the program prepare nurses to work as educators in academic, hospital, and community-based settings. Students develop an area of clinical specialization as well as skills in curriculum development, teaching-learning strategies, and evaluation. Particular emphasis is placed on tailoring content and presentation to learners' needs. Practicum experiences take place in a variety of educational settings.Is there a residency requirement for online students?
